"STAY IN THE GAME TO A.C.H.I.E.V.E." PROGRAM
QB John Kaleo and OL/DL Luis Almanzar To Visit 109th& 153rd Street Elementary Schools
LOS ANGELES -- QB John Kaleo and OL/DL Luis Almanzar will be spending their day off on Tuesday, February 15th visiting two elementary schools in the cities of Los Angeles and Gardena. Kaleo and Almanzar, who are both new to the team and the Southern California will take the opportunity to talk about the Los Angeles Avengers "Stay in the Game to A.C.H.I.E.V.E." program in the school's auditorium.
Both Kaleo and Almanzar will discuss the importance of achieving goals through the Stay in the Game to A.C.H.I.E.V.E." program and let our youth know that this is the time to set a solid foundation for their futures through school. The A.C.H.I.E.V.E. curriculum is based on the characteristics that the Avengers believe are the keys to a student's success: A - Academics, C - Courage, H - Honesty, I - Involvement, E - Enthusiasm, V - Values, E - Excellence. Kaleo and Almanzar will use examples from their own lives to demonstrate that working hard in school can enable you're dreams to become reality.
"It will be a positive and enthusiastic experience to be around these kids," Kaleo said. "And to have the opportunity to be able to motivate our youth through our visit will be great."
The "Stay In The Game to A.C.H.I.E.V.E." program, that which combines motivational and rewards opportunities for students with the access to the experiences and leadership of our players and coaching staff. The ultimate goal is to encourage and positively influence students, rewarding them for their achievements with two (2) complimentary tickets to a Los Angeles Avengers home game at STAPLES Center (categories include: good attendance, straight A's, improving grades and the ninth man award).
The Avengers have sent out 28,000 ticket vouchers to over 100 schools in the Los Angeles area for the 2005 "Stay In The Game to A.C.H.I.E.V.E." program.
